Item 40: This is an original first class "White Star Line" plate from the Titanic with "Wisteria" pattern and registration marks No 117214, No 324028 "Stonier & Co Ltd Liverpool". There is a certificate of provence from the "White Star Line" "Publication Promotions Ltd Milford on Sea, Lymington, Hants." to prove that the plate was given to a Mrs.R. Baines by her husband Richard and was taken off of the Titanic on the 9th of April 1912 just before the ship set sail on its ill fated journey to New York. The certificate also includes death certificate No RBD 30 Office No.131428 for Richard who was aged 54 years before he perished. Some utensil marks and what looks like two small edge chip repairs on the rear of the plate which do not go through the face of the plate. Plate measures 7 5/8" and is well marked
